News from Bibi ( 4)

Saturday 12th April

Back to London.

First going back to White Chapel 20 years after. Brick lane 's the same. But Whitechapel gallery will reopen in 2009. No luck. I went to another place called the Street. It's a gallery, too. The artist's project was nice. It's a lottery. You can win his painting. You just have to buy something at Petticoat's market (at least 5 pounds) and bring it to the gallery. They give you a number and you put your object on a shelf. At the end of the year, a trader will pick a winner from the accumulated archive.
But Petticoat's market just closed on saturday and I couldn't enter the lottery. No luck.

Then, a Bloomsbury's walk between the sleet showers, looking for Mrs Dalloway. A short stop at the British Museum. Young nice and active english people shouting against the scientologist church.

Back to Tate modern to visit the 5th floor. Enjoyed a lot a video from a brasilian called Cao Guimaraes and another bloke I can't remember the name. Focus on aunts bringing coloured confetti after the carnival...
